Bob is in charge of setting up chairs for guests. Each chair
is 1.5 ft long and 1.5 ft wide. The center aisle must be 4 ft
wide so graduates can walk to the stage. If there are 10 chairs
on each side of the aisle, what is the width of the chairs and
aisle for one row?

1.1.5+1.5=3
2.3x(10x2)=60
A:60ft long
I got 50!
I added 1.5ft. plus 1.5ft. together and got 3 for the width of both chairs. Then I added the 4 ft wide from the width of the aisle and got 7 feet total for the width of the whole row.
Answer:#34ft
Steps
1. You only need to know the width of the chairs.=1.5
2.You do 1.5x10=15. 2 rows of chairs so you do 15(one row)+15(second row)=30
3. The aisle is 4 ft so 30=4=34
The answer is 34.
34 ft. for the width of the chairs and aisle.
I will bring paper with work shown.
I multiplied 1.5 ft by 10 ft to get 15 ft. Then I multiplied that by 2 and got 30 ft. Finally I added 4 ft to it and got 34 ft wide for one row.
This is how I got the answer:
There were 10 chairs that were each 1.5 ft long. Each side has chairs that are 1.5 ft long.
1.5+1.5=3.0
3.0+4=7
So my answer is 7. The width of the chairs and aisle for one row is 7.
So first i did 1.5ft wide x 10 chairs in each row and i ended up with 15.ft as my answer for the chairs in each row...
Now i new it would be 15ft. on one side and 15ft. on the other so next i did 15ft+15ft+4ft=34ft.
answer:34ft.
First, I multiplied 1.5 feet wide for the chairs by 20 chairs total on either side of the aisle, and I got an answer of 30 feet wide. Finally, I added 4 feet for the aisle's width and the I got 34 feet for the total width of the seating area.
I know... I have my work on a

First I will multiply the number of chairs (10) by the width of the chairs (1.5).I will then add/10
the aisle width (4) to the (x1.5
width of all the chairs (15) (5.0

The width for the chairs and the aisles is 34 feet. Each side of the aisle is 15 feet so that os already 30 feet. Then I added the 4feet from the aisle's width . That is how I got my answer.
You do 15 times 10 to get 150 forget about the numbers 10 and 150 you just do fifteen times times two plus four to get thirty four feet wide
1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25-area of chair
10 x 2.25 = 22.50
+22.50
45.00 + 4 = 49.00 ans.
The answer is 34, because 1 chair is 1.5, so one row is 10 times 1.5, or 15. The other side is equivalent, so that makes 30. Then you add the 4 from the middle, and get 34!
It will have to be 64 ft wide total.
There are 10 chairs in each side of the aisle and a chair has 1.5 and 1.5 X 10 is 15+15+4=34
Width of chair= 3.0ft
asile for one row= 150
First I drew a picture of the aisle and chairs. Since there were 20 total chairs per row, I multiplied 20x1.5 and got 30 feet.Since the aisle was 4 feetacross, I added 4 and got 34 feet as my answer.
I did 1.5 times 10 and got 15, then a I multiplied 15 by 2 and got thirty. then I added 4 and got 34ft. per row.
It will be 34 ft.
1. First, I multiplied 1.5 ft by 10 chairs and got 15 ft.
2. Then, I did 15ft times 2 sides of the aisle and got 30 ft.
3. Finally, I added the 4 ft of the aisle to the 30 ft of the sides of the aisle and got 34 ft.
1. First I read the problem since its saids the width is 1.5 ft wide I will do multiplaction.
2. Because if there are 10 chairs in each row I do 1.5 ft times 10 chairs.
1.5ft times 10 = 150ft
3. sooooo the anwser is 150ft. Its was only for the 1st row.
My anwser is 150ft for the first row. :):P:D;):@:!:*:O:C :)))))))
My anwser is
1.5+1.5=3.0
3.0
x10
30.0
x10
60.0+4=64.0ft
The answer is 64.0 feet.
1.5+1.5=3.0
10
x 3.0
30.0
x2
60.0+4=64.0
The answer to this week's problem is 64 feet.
1.5 ft. wide x 10 chairs = 15 ft.
15 ft. x 2 = 30ft. wide are all chairs
1 row = 30ft. wide of chairs + 4ft. of aisle = 34ft..
if u take 1.5 x 10= 15 so then you
15x2=30+4=34
1.5+1.5=3x10=30 ft of the width of the chairs in aisle for one row.
My answer was 15.0ft.
I got this by finding out how to arrange the chairs, then I put 5 by 2 chairs in each section.
I then multiplied 5 chairs in one row by 1.5 ft ( the width of the chair, and got 7.5 ft.
Since the length and width are ti same I added 7.5 ft to the width,7.5 ft, and got 15 ft.
1.5 x 10 is 15.0 and thats on each side so its actually 30.0 in the middle there is 4 ft. 1 ft is 12 in. 4 x 12 is 48 in. so add 30 to 48 and get 78 in.
So the width of the chairs and aisle for 1 row is 78 in.
1.5 ft. multiplied by 4ft which is 6 ft. Then 6 ft. multiplied by 10 which is 60 ft. total.
I added1.5 10 time and I got 15 tjen I multipyed 15 time 2 and I got 30 I did 15 times 2 because there are 2 rows thnen I add 4 to 30 and got 34 I added 4 because the aisle is 4.
1.5
x1.5=22.5x10 chairs on arow=225.0of the chairs but the aisle you have to add 4ft. so the answer would be229.0
The answer that I got was 34 ft in one row.
How I got my answer was I multiplied 1.5x10=15 for one side and then I added 4 for the aisle, then added another 15 for the other side.
I did 1.5 + 1.5= 3.0 x 4= 120.0 and got 120.0
The width of the chair in one row is 19 ft. because the aisle is 4ft. and there are 10 chairs in the row and each chair is 1.5 ft. wide so you times 1.5 ten times to get 15.0 plus 4ft. for a total of 19 ft.
1chair - 1.5ft wide 1.5ft long
aisle - 4ft
1.5

answer=51ftlong 4ftwide
